Rumours of a new Four Seasons development in Grand Cayman

I've heard a few rumours circulating around island that the Four Seasons that was discussed a long time back may actually be reality soon.

As I hear the decision has been made for it to be constructed somewhere on the old Kaboo site (that vacant land beside Kimpton/Seafire). The entire parcel is owned by Dart so there are plenty of options of where it might be located.

I believe this is good news for the island and that once completed it would likely be the most high end development we have.

Very excited to see some renderings and to know whether there will also be a residential component to the project. This would be very cool to see, particularly how much these units would be priced at. Cayman is already expensive so can't imagine what they'd be charging per square foot if there are going to be residential units for sale.

If anyone out there has any information they can share or any images that would be terrific.

This has been the talk for quite some time now. There was an issue originally with the proposed location of the Four Seasons here in Grand Cayman due to rocky beach and the DOE not permitting Dart to remove the rocks from the water. Then there was talk about the Four Seasons being built where Royal Palms and Darts home is located.

The latest as I've been hearing here around island is that the Four Seasons will in fact end up being built where the Kaboo land is located next to the Seafire hotel. There's no official news on this but this is what I've been hearing form some reliable sources.

A Four Seasons would be cool here. I'd imagine there would be some cool new restaurants that would come with this.

I've heard similar things from people closely connected to Dart that this is happening and that the project is currently with planning. Let's see if some official news about this surfaces soon.

I walked around the Kaboo site beside the Seafire the other day and I did see some equipment and materials. It does seem as though there is some activity there now. As far as what they're doing or whether this is part of a new development I'm not sure.

So 100% Four Seasons has the green light to move forward and it's definitely going in the Kaboo location as I had originally mentioned. There looks to be a few staging areas in and around the Kaboo site now. I know Dart is super secretive about this stuff so it's not likely that there's going to be much news in the public domain for a while. But if anyone hears of anything or sees anything posted online please share with us here.
